Submission Guidelines for Holiday Anthology

Just a quick announcement…

Submissions for our first ever Holiday Romance Anthology open May 15 and will remain open until July 31…

So get started on your super sweet holiday romances ala Hallmark… if you're unsure of what we're looking for, go into our post search and put in Katie Fitzgerald or Mina Beckett (though there are other great examples) and check out their holiday stories.

Holiday Anthology Guidelines:

*We're looking for genre romance - sweet, HEA (Happily Ever After), meet cute

*Must take place during a holiday from Thanksgiving to NYE

*3rd Person POV preferred, but not necessary - there can be switch in pov, but please indicate any switch in POV, scene breaks, etc with ***

*No erotica - this is sweet/clean romance only. Kissing allowed. A little steam/spice is okay, but please no explicit imagery

*Stories must be between 750 and 1200 words

*Submit as a .doc/.docx attachment

*One submission per writer

*Please allow until Aug 15th for response… I will most likely be making decisions as subs come in and be formatting the anthology in the process, but replies will all go out at one time, no later than August 15th.

*There will be no cap on the number of pieces included in this anthology - if we receive 50 submissions and 30 meet the guidelines/theme, then 30 will be included. If only 10 meet the requirements, then only 10 will be included… so please, follow the guidelines and proofread and edit your piece the best you can (We will correct minor typos, but cannot edit entire pieces)

*Please no simultaneous submissions - I know this is an unpopular guideline but, as I said, I'll most likely be formatting the anthology as we go, with decisions going out by Aug 15 (if not sooner/as I go)… I can't have pieces being withdrawn days after submission

*Tentative release date October 31, 2025
