Delicious Syllables
By Imogen Graves
She turned the tv down and the Christmas music off to have utter silence to focus only on his voice so that his voice would be the only thing to reverberate off the walls and into her ears deliciously soaking in every single syllable he uttered, every smile and chuckle, every laugh, every tear and angry tinted word. Everything is what she desired; she wanted nothing more and never less. Never ever less than this. Even this was barely enough.
With each alliteration and soft vowel, her insides quivered, and her face warmed. She melted for him like she had never for another before. She wanted to melt for him. Wanted more of everything with him. Anything less would be a devastation. Her heart quickens each time she hears him smile, with each awkward giggle, each whispered word of love. Sent her further and further into sweet bliss.
She adored him in a way she could never find words for, as it was new to her as well. He understood her in ways no one ever had. She understood him in the same way. Two souls ever connected through a thread of devotion that grew larger and stronger with each passing moment. She knew she would never get her fill. She loved every delicious syllable with even more fervor.

An interesting and tender piece..surrender comes to my mind. Thank you Imogen!
Love the raw emotion and how effectively the sensory details build on one another. Really well done!
