February Update....

Hey, all! Just a quick update in the ever-being spirit of transparency that exists here at Micromance Magazine…

As some may have noticed, I've gotten a bit behind on things… rest assured, Cupid Prize winners will all receive their certificates via email as promised and will each have a newsletter profile… I'll be in touch for bio info when I send the certificates…💘… a little heads up, whatever info/photo you supply will be the same used for your profile in the Cupid Prize Anthology…

And for those who submitted successes for January, I have not forgotten to share those great accomplishments… I've just gotten sidetracked… I promise to celebrate with you…

And speaking of anthologies… both the poetry anthology, “Like Naked Taunts”, and The Cupid Prize Anthology, may be delayed a bit… I apologize for that… Things have just gotten a bit busy both with Micromance and in real life (I've started a new job and still trying to balance my days)… thing is, there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything that I both need and want to do (and it’s really stressing me out…lol)… once I get passed these Cupid Prize features and get a bit more caught up on scheduling already accepted pieces, I'll be able to breathe a little easier and get back on track with the anthologies.

KissMet Quarterly is still on track for a mid/late April release… I'm looking for The Cupid Prize to come out closer to summer with “Like Naked Taunts” about the same time, if not sooner - “Like Naked Taunts” is half complete…

I thank you all for your patience and understanding. The explosive success of Micromance has been a bit overwhelming, but also very exhilarating… I'm caught up with most all submission replies, with the exception of a couple pieces I'm still debating and pieces received in the last week (so, caught up with all but about 12)… but I am behind on scheduling, having jut begun December acceptances a week or two ago… I'm hoping to get through those and January by the end of this month and then begin scheduling February's acceptances in March/April… if anyone has submitted and is wondering an estimated publication date, if you were accepted in December/early January, then you're date will probably fall in April/May… late January/February, you're looking at June-ish… yes, I'm scheduling pieces that far ahead!! I know… I never thought I'd be one of those publications scheduling 6 mos out, but here I am….and it's awesome!! Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm in being a part of Micromance Magazine!!

And before anyone else suggests it, I’ve already thought about a staff… but I'm just not quite there yet… I'll never have submission readers - as EIC, I feel I'm 100% responsible for the content of MM and for contacting writers with acceptances/rejections, editing suggestions, etc. But as MM continues to grow, I may need to consider having a scheduler… but my hesitance there rests in the fact that that person will need full access to MM and its email, and that needs to be someone I can trust on so many levels as well as depend on… there's a couple people that fit that, but they're either already working behind the scenes and/or have their own busy schedules to tend to….

So for the foreseeable future, its just little ol’ me… so please continue to have patience and understanding and know that I am doing my best to be the best EIC I can be…
