Jamie cleared his throat before speaking. “You’ve met someone?”
“Yeah, except I’ve been friend zoned,” Becca replied. “Truth is, I’m aching for him to kiss me. And when I say him, I really mean you.”
Jamie’s mouth formed a perfect O of surprise. “But, Becca, I’ve been waiting for you to kiss me,” he laughed, before pulling her into his arms.
Passers-by stopped to gawp as a murmuration of heart emojis swooped and swirled in kaleidoscopic patterns around the couple tangled in a passionate kiss.
“Do you remember when we used to feel that way about each other?” they sighed.
