Sorry to hear you put up with a little abuse from people. I’ve noodled with starting a press for decades now, and every time the itch starts I hear stories of nonsense like that and the itch goes away. You’re saints for plugging along and creating such a great community!

Also, thank you for all your and Katie's hard work – I'm sure that 99% of us appreciate all that you do and try our best to respect Micromance ethos, and am sad that there's even a 1% that doesn't. But they're shooting themselves in the foot - nobody wants to work with rude, entitled people, even if their writing is *chef's kiss*....and do we really think it is?! Keep up the good work....after you take the day off too drink far too much fizz and eat your body weight in cake!

Growing pains are unfortunately part of the business landscape, but a lack of common courtesy always befuddles me. Keep pressing forward! We need you. I’m so happy you wrote this! It’s really good to know everything you said. I’m sorry that you and Katie have had some negative experiences with authors. I’m also sorry to hear that the stories submitted are not following the heart of Micromance. I hope this helps others out there and I hope that you’ll be getting more romance pieces that are perfect for the magazine and KissMet! Also I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!
Thank you!! Some of those negative experiences are from writers I've never "seen" before....some are from regulars, and that's the frustrating part ...lol.... But all's good.... 😄
