Lovelight
By Karina Longo
Take me by the hand, wild one
Let’s float like fireflies
Swirling in the moonlit skies somewhere
Where the snowflakes dance timidly and
The cool wind whispers in our ears,
What a sweet caress –
“Just for today, just one more time”
And it fools me, it tricks me,
It lights something inside and you know,
I am not surprised, it had to be you
To unlock what was hidden and buried,
What no one wanted.
I knew it would be bliss,
We are made of the same cloth.
A dream is no longer a dream
If we close eyes together and fly away,
High, just like fireflies.
