We shed our inhibitions
like winter coats in summer,
letting them fall soft as moth wings
against the dock's weathered planks.
***
The lake holds mysteries
in its obsidian depths—
your silhouette rippling silver
beneath a pearl-drop moon,
water beading like mercury
across the contours of your back.
***
I want to see the midnight
that clings to your eyelashes,
count constellations in the droplets
scattered across your skin
like a private universe
meant only for these hours
when the world narrows
to the space between
your heartbeat and mine.

Beautiful...so chock full of imagery. A story within the lines of poetry. Loved it.
