“Do you want me to touch you?” he whispered against her ear.
She whimpered in response.
“Do you?” he asked again.
“Yes!” she answered in desperation.
Suddenly, Jay pushed himself away from her. She stood there stunned as she grabbed onto the back of the couch for support.
He ran his fingers through his hair. “What are we doing Lauren.” This evening had not gone according to plan. He looked up at her shocked face and wished he hadn’t put himself in this position. “I think you should go home.” He wanted her – god knows he wanted her – but not like this. He shouldn’t even have let it get this far.
“No.”
“What?” Did he hear correctly? Had she just refused?
“We are going to do this tonight,” she demanded. Her bottom lips started trembling but her resolve was apparent. “I need to know…. you said you would help me.”
Her vulnerability shined like a halo. She had never been so open with him, and he kicked himself for getting them in this situation. “Lauren, you’ve already proven that there’s nothing the matter with you. Those other guys you’ve been with – they didn’t know how to properly treat a woman. You’re a little firecracker; you just need the right man.”
“What if you’re wrong?”
“I’m not!” he said in disbelief that she was still arguing with him. He’d proven it to her by the way she’d responded – practically melting into his arms – and yet, she was still wanted more.
She bit her bottom lip, and he noticed a brief flash of shame in her eyes. “Listen, we’re both adults here, and I’m asking you to have sex with me.” She gave him a look that said “so what’s the problem?”
She slowly unbuttoned her long spring jacket and opened it to reveal what she wore underneath. Nothing but a lace lingerie set.
Stunned by her sheer determination – and sheer lacy bra – he looked into her eyes again and no longer saw shame and desperation, just uncertainty and…... hope? Could it be she wanted this as much as he did? Seemed she wasn’t going to take no for an answer. He started towards her. “For personal enlightenment purposes only, of course.”
“Oh, of course.” Her expression softened as he approached.
He stopped inches in front of her and reached up to smooth a curl from her hair. “Nothing more than a friendly evaluation.” He saw more than heard the quickening of her breath as he got closer. Well, this was new development.
“I expect your most honest opinion.” She flashed him a shy smile that sent a rush of excitement through him. She had never smiled at him this way before.
“I think I can do that,” he said, as his hands lowered to her waist to bring her closer as he lowered his head to hers.

Saucy fun which reveals a couple of complex characters. Thanks for sharing.
Wowsers!!! It's so refreshing when the female character takes the lead in these intimate situations.
