Her story, Double Scoop, appeared here on August 8th, and she also wants to share her workplace romcom, A Hard Sell:
Katie Kent
A few weeks ago ‘Romancing the Rainbow’ was published. This is a collection of short LGBTQI romance stories, most of them about first meetings. Katie co-edited the anthology and has a story in it. The majority of proceeds from the sale go to the family of L.J. Hachmeister, a writer who unfortunately passed away far too soon. Check it out here:
Tamara Shaffer
wanted to share all her successes with the Micromance community. She said:
My first such success was "Personal Failures," a saga about dating in the personal ads. It appeared in the Chicago Reader in 1989.
Reader also published my article, "Death and the Maidens," about the 1957 unsolved murders of two Chicago sisters. https://chicagoreader.com/news-politics/death-and-the-maidens/ I later wrote a book on the subject of the two murdered sisters, Murder Gone Cold, 2006. https://www.amazon.com/Murder-Gone-Cold-Tamara-Shaffer/dp/0976607271
I have had two autobiographical stories published (1) "The End of the World" -- in Serving House Journal, available at http://shj.kysoflash.com/ShafferEndofWorld.aspx
(2) "Green Pudding" -- in Six Hens, Available at https://www.sixhens.com/green-pudding
Serving House Journal also published my story, "At Death's Door." http://shj.kysoflash.com/Issue10/ShafferDoor.aspx
An article about women's practice of changing their names when they marry in Phoebe and a story, "The Weekend." I'm not sure these are available online.
An article about my experience with insomnia, published in the women's section of Chicago Trribiune. They also published, "Men-No-Pause and other Mid-life Laments."
My essay about not being a driver--"Totally Driven"--was published in Today's Chicago Woman (now defunct), along with several other submissions to their "Viewpoint" column, including "Confessions of an Arachnophobe," "Tamara: From Queen to Commoner," "Confessions of a Stringy-haired Caucasian," and in another special feature about a bad blind date.
I have had a number of short romance stories and two cozy mysteries published in Woman's World magazine; not sure if they can be accessed online.
My flash fiction story, "Foiled," placed second in a flash fiction contest by Arts Consortium of Carver County, Chaska, Minnesota. Also, my story, "Love Comes Calling," won second place in a contest in White County, Arkansas.
Currently, I have a novella on Amazon Kindle, a romance story entitled, A Second Spring.

Her story, Sea Glass and Sea Kisses, appeared here July 26th, but aside from being a welcome and popular contributor at Micromance, Mya is also a serial fiction writer for Radish App and iReader. She's done book signings for local Barnes & Noble, local libraries, and has an upcoming book signing event at a local bookstore in October. Read more about her and check out her books here:
