Congratulations to
- her story, A Convenient Change of Plans (published 1/27), soared to the #2 spot on Micromance's "top posts" list within 24 hrs of publication. She received a whopping 440 views in that time and had tons of engagement. No other piece has performed so well, so quickly!! And these numbers reflected in Micromance's traffic stats... On Jan 23rd, we had a record-breaking 1063 views... On the 27th we broke that record by 10 - 1073 visits!!! These astounding numbers are a testament to Rachel's "marketing" of her story. In her writing communities of social media, she hyped the release of her story in the days leading up to it, just as one would an upcoming book release, and shared it once it was out... This gained her exposure, exposed to Micromance to some readers/writers who maybe didn't know of us, and was a mutually beneficial experience. There are a handful of other contributors who do the same as Rachel, with similar results, such as Katie Fitzgerald, Elise Gilmore, Mina Beckett and others, proving that if we treat each published story or poem we write with the same excitement we would a book release, enhanced success is ours.Remember, Micromance Magazine is a platform for YOU, the writer, to get your work in front of eyes... To gain exposure... To test out ideas (several have taken their story or series and expanded it after being well-received in MM and are now making queries)... I do my best to promote the magazine and its contributors, but if you are in writing groups, have a community of writing friends (online or in real life), have family & friends supportive of your writing (I know this isn't one everyone can relate to), have social media to share your success on, then by all means, share!! Be loud and proud....and let's work together to make us all famous!! 😁

P S. I've noticed that some newsletters aren't being delivered to inboxes and the number of undelivered emails varies esch day. I've noticed that some land in my spam, while some land in my socials folder…so if you have days when a story isn't in your inbox, check your other folders — it might have snuck into one of them….
Congratulations!!! How does one know when one's story is going to be released?
Congrats to Rachel!!!!!!!!!!
