Greetings All! Hope this week finds you all well!! I have a few “empty” days this week as we take a little break before the holiday stories/poems begin next week, and so I thought I'd use this time to talk a bit more about The Cupid Prize…
Individual Nominations …
For those who haven't heard, we are accepting nominations of individual stories by the writers themselves. The rules are the same as for editors:
❣️Stories between 500 & 1200 words
❣️Allowed 3 nominations…all can be yours or you can nominate fellow writers
❣️ Stories must be love lit
❣️Stories must have been published in 2024
We have had a good response so far. For questions or to nominate, email:

Put Judge Applicant in subject…
Applicants should be writers of flash fiction, enjoy reading love lit - romance, love stories, women's fic - and be able to put personal style preference aside and judge according to the criteria. Judge will be reading up to 6 stories, choosing one winner. The remaining five will be that category’s finalists/short list. Judge will have about 5 weeks to read stories and return their verdict. This is a volunteer position for this prize cycle only. Judge will be featured in the anthology with other judges and be able to add award judge to their literary resume.
If interested, email by November 28th for consideration…
The Cupid Prize is a great, uplifting and positive addition to the writing community landscape…. We've had several individual nominations already… but I would love to see more editors take part and nominate any contributors whose work fits the criteria….the lack of response from editors proves the point that few other lit mags publish love lit or, if they do, don't consider it “prize worthy,” and validates the purpose and mission of Micromance Magazine and The Cupid Prize, and that's to give a voice to indie romance/love lit writers/poets and recognize writers of flash romance… if anyone knows any editors that may wish to take part, by all means, spread the word, and, you know what, go ahead and spread the word anyway - to all your writer/editor friends… the bigger this Anthology becomes, the stronger our voices become… the stronger our community becomes!
Thank you all for you support… think happy thoughts,
Gail Lynn, EIC 🥰
I’m excited!!!
