While Visions Danced In His Head
A Christmas drabble by G. Lynn Brown.... Plus some other Micromance news....
Nate stood in the corner, hoping in his dark green sweater he'd blend in with the Christmas tree. He hated these office parties, but it was better than sitting home alone, drinking, thinking of... well, thinking.
He looked at the tree and its beautiful decorations, but his gaze kept climbing to the angel all aglow, gracefully balanced atop the pine.
She was exquisite and with her curly blonde hair, her eyes of blue, her lips of pink, and her flawless porcelain skin, she reminded him of... nevermind.
He groaned a sigh.
On second thought, maybe he should mingle, after all.

Chill Subs Voting
Thanks to everyone who has voted in Chill Subs Best Lit Mags of 2024… I'm estimating we've had about three dozen votes and I appreciate every one of them… if you haven't yet voted, voting goes until 12/15… vote for us in the flash/micro category…
To win would be awesome, to just be in the running would be just as awesome for a fledgling publication… not only for me, but for the handful of fabulous people who help behind the scenes and for our contributors…
The Cupid Prize
I am currently working on The Cupid Prize long list, and hope to release that in a few days, with the short list coming by the end of the month… then the shortlist will be handed over to the judges… 😁👍🏻
And I hope you all are enjoying the holiday stories and poems … I'd like to congratulate
on Whamageddon Love Story entering the top 10 most popular posts on Micromance, marking her second entry in the top ten. And though all of our holiday stories have been getting great stats, her story has the most views of any holiday story thus far, and hit nearly 300 in its first day (most posts reach between 150-200 in their first day).Another shout out goes to
- his delightful story in rhyme, The Elf All About Himself, has the second most views in the holiday category, thus far, and broke that 200 view stat in its first day, as well. “The Elf…” was also the second top poem in all of November, making Ash our top read/viewed poet of 2024… way to go, Ash!! 😊All of our series features have been doing very well. And I thank those writers for sharing their stories. I know
is working to further expand on Paige and Noah's story for book publication, and I couldn't be happier for her, and look forward to seeing Mistletoe's For Kissing Under in paperback!!Tomorrow there will also be a post from me… a Christmas Poem…. I didn't plan to share it, but the piece originally scheduled was suddenly withdrawn by its author, leaving me with a gap in the calendar - and so Santa, Dear wil run in its place….and I hope you enjoy….(I know, the date on the below blurb is wrong because I'm a flibbertigibbet at times…lol…. )
As always, I appreciate you all…. Happy Holidays!🎄🕎🌟
