The way your smiles fit
Into my heart: white and soft
As insides of pears
After they transformÂ
From such tender winged flowers
To tart vitamin
Centers. The way smiles
Flavor your kisses like tea
Made of stars and rose
Petals. If I could,
I would hug those smiles always,
And breathe their joy smells;
If I could, I'd plant
Your smiles in the dark to grow
Fresh trees for shelter.

I kept thinking, "I like that phrase" or "I like that metaphor", but I kept liking each new one better than the last. Beautiful, poetic prose with great images.
