Happy Saturday, all!! Well, yesterday I put out a poll in my most recent “Letters FROM the Editor” asking if anyone would be interested in a drabble editing/feedback service if I offered one and the resounding result was “maybe - more details please!” So here are the details…
For $7 a drabble, or 2 for $10, you will receive:
• a line-by-line edit: proofreading of spelling, grammar, punctuation, suggested revisions of problematic or awkward sentences, etc.
• critique/feedback: pointing out strengths and weaknesses in plot; comments on development; impression of characters; suggestions on how to improve (if necessary); if it's more poetic, I'll let you know, suggest ways to make it a story, if possible, etc.
• Tips on writing drabble
• Doesn't need to be romance, any genre/theme allowed
Example of Edit/Critique:
I was thinking of opening for edits the first week of every other month - then however many I receive will be edited in the order they come in, with all edits complete by the end of that month…so depending on volume (and my real life schedule), a turnaround time of 1 - 3 weeks…
So, what does everyone think?
Thanks for your interest,
Gail Lynn, EIC 🥰
I can't help mentioning, there is a misplaced "only" in your example of editing. However, I would be interested in feedback regarding some of my writings.
