Submission Guidelines:
Micromance Magazine publishes online year round…
Response emails will be received within 30 days of submission, often sooner…
Contributors will be notified with their publication date in a separate email…
•All submissions must be in an easily readable font, preferably 12pt…
•All submissions must be in .doc/.docx… NO PDFs, please
•Previously Published allowed as long as it's been more than one year and/or the original lit mag is defunct
•Submissions to multiple categories allowed, but please, just one story, per category, per writer, per month. *Include all subs in one document, with each story beginning on its own page
•NO SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS!!! If you can't wait up to 30 days for a reply, don't submit. If you've already submitted elsewhere, pay them the respect they deserve and please wait until you receive their response before submitting someplace else. Absolutely NO Withdrawals allowed after piece is accepted!!!

•All submissions must be in English
•No racism, sexism, gratuitous violence, sexual abuse or hate speech
•This is a magazine for romance stories, but please, NO EROTICA… we're not prudes, but sweet to slightly steamy romance is what we're looking for…
•Please include an author bio (3rd person, 100 words max) and an optional photo to be included with piece, if chosen

Micromance Magazine has five categories:
Short and Sweet: Stories told in 501-1200 words. We're looking for complete stories told from first meeting to happily ever after, complete with whatever trope you prefer.
Quickies: Stories told in 101-500 words. We're looking for a scene from the whole story - a glimpse into the first date or maybe the first night together… how about a break up turned make up… leave us wanting to know more about your characters.
Sweet Nothings: Stories told in 75-100 words. We are looking to get lost in the moment, the same way she gets lost in his dreamy blue eyes. Write about an intimate moment, a proposal, a first kiss… any sweet moment we won't forget.
Poetry: Love letters in rhyme, secret admirer prose, an ode to romance, steamy lines… classic poems celebrating love & romance & making love… Any style, any length. Please no special formatting (indents, “shape poetry,” etc), submit 1 poem ONLY.
Terms & Conditions
By having your story/poem accepted to, and published by, Micromance Magazine, you are granting us first publication and non-exclusive rights, but you, the writer, still own your work. The copyright always remains with the author. First publication rights grant us a 60-day period from date of publication wherein the work is not published elsewhere. Non-Exclusive rights allow us to publish your wonderful work on our online platforms, social media channels, audio, digital, and/or print publications, promotional materials (audio, digital, and/or print), and archives to help further promote your work. If later published elsewhere, we ask you to please give credit to Micromance Magazine as the source of first publication.
